STEP 12 – SELF CARE FOR THE MASSAGE THERAPIST

broken image

You use your hands, arms and shoulders all day, every day to provide soothing massages to your clients, but at the end of the day, who does that for you? Self-care for your tired and overworked muscles is very important if you are going to be able to continue doing what you do for many years. Massage Therapy is physically exhausting and even more so if your practice is thriving and busy daily.

Taking some time to care for yourself is imperative but with a busy work schedule and home life, you often forget to take the time to do so. Am I right?

What if you could give yourself some TLC without it taking a lot of time? Here are a few things that you can do for yourself each day.

Give yourself a quick mini rub down with the SOOTHING BLEND RUB. It contains plant extracts and moisturizing emollients that are good for the skin. This will leave your skin nourished, soothed, and non-greasy after each use.

The SOOTHING BLEND RUB is like the SOOTHING BLEND which contains Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile, and Osmanthus but the SOOTHING BLEND RUB also contains Eucalyptus Essential Oil.

To use, simply apply a small amount and massage the lotion into the area of concern. For deeper relief, apply the SOOTHING BLEND first and layer the SOOTHING BLEND RUB after. For added relaxation for tired muscles, 1-2 drops of Lemongrass can be applied in addition to the application of the SOOTHING BLEND and SOOTHING BLEND RUB.

SOOTHING BLEND RUB is also a great product to have available for clients to purchase to help soothe and support them in between massage appointments too!

TIP: We have a large 32 oz. pump of SOOTHING BLEND RUB that is perfect for the office, and sample packs for customers to have an experience at home (and ultimately want their own product) for in between appointments.

QUESTION – HOW MANY DAYS EACH WEEK COULD YOU USE A LITTLE EXTRA SUPPORT AND RELAXATION FOR YOUR MUSCLES?
